Hemlock Park School Traditional Homeschooling Resources and Plans
Traditional homeschooling can mean a lot of different things to different people. Here it means that this homeschool program has been created using vintage children's textbooks that are in the public domain. There is a complete course of study using vintage texts for each grade level to grade eight, and a page of suggestions for high school studies. Each course of study includes links to the free resources suggested for that grade, and suggestions on using it. Over time I plan to add in some further details to make things a little easier for new homeschooling parents and homeschooling parents that just don't have the time to put together daily lesson plans.
You many not like all of the resources that are listed for a particular grade level. You can exchange that resource for a different one if you prefer. Check out the pages listed below with free traditional resources available to use in your classic homeschool plans. All of these books are in the public domain and are free to download and use. You might see these same titles being sold as reprinted or reformatted books, but the actual original books are out of copyright and can be downloaded for free by the general public. Why pay for a book that you can get for free?
Please check out our electives page to find electives like art, music, and health to round out your course of study.
Please click on the link to the grade level you are interested in. You may also click on the pages of additional traditional resources if you would like to explore more choices. Don't forget to visit our elective pages as well.
